BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: Ecoffect, The New Sustainable Fashion Smart App by Avartana

After months of planning, I’m incredibly excited to finally share the project that’s been at the heart of Avartana:

Introducing Ecoffect: the accessible, and intuitive sustainability assistant for fashion lovers.

What is Ecoffect?

Ecoffect is a web-based smart tool designed to help you answer the question we should all be asking before we shop:

“Was this product made sustainably?”

Built under Avartana’s mission to create a more circular, conscious fashion cycle, Ecoffect uses a combination of AI technology and human research to evaluate the sustainability of fashion brands and products. Ecoffect is designed to be a tool that helps you cut through greenwashing and get real answers when you're shopping online, scrolling through social media, or digging through thrift store racks.

How It Works

Simply upload a picture of the product, or manually enter the brand name and material details.

Ecoffect will return a sustainability breakdown, including:

• Brand labor ethics

• Material sourcing

• Environmental impact

• Certifications (or lack thereof)

• A clear sustainability score and summary

Why This Matters

I started Avartana because I believed fashion could be different, and that it could honor people and the planet without losing its creativity or accessibility. But I also know that sustainable choices aren’t always easy or obvious, and it's difficult for ordinary people to find time to research every product they want to purchase. That’s where Ecoffect comes in.
